Rassam Podi

Red chilli , Cumin , Fenugreek, Asafoetida, Lentils, Pepper, Curry leaves

• Pressure cook 4 tbsps of tuvar dal and a pinch of turmeric.
• Churn and keep aside
• Take 1 tbsp tamarind pulp, add 1 cup water, finely chopped tomatoes,
• Add 1 ¹/₂ tbsps Rasam powder, a pinch of and salt
• Combine the mixtures and bring to boil. Add a tsp of jaggery

Tadka

•  Season with mustard seeds, jeera and a pinch of asafoetida, pepper and curry leaves in Ghee.
• Garnish with Coriander leaves

Our little secret:

• Rassam is a very effective remedy for Cold and Cough
• Goes well with Idlis ,vadas and steaming rice with ghee
